As perfessionals that are required to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, our cell phone/ pda should be a reliable source in case a business situation should arise. That is not currently the case. We have only one option for a Smart Phone at Transcoean and that is a Blackberry device. These devices have not been user friendly, limit the amount that can be done on them and have time and time again proved to be troublesome devices in times of need. As such an advanced and demanding company, we believe that we should be able to use the latest in the Smart Phone industry that provides so many more options and have been named the Top Smart Phones today.

This petition was created to show how many employees agree with the above and would like to change from the Blackberry option to an I-Phone, Android or other. These type phones have proven to be highly helpful and reliable for other companies and we believe that we should have the option to choose from these phones as well.

Please consider the time that was taken to create and sign this petition by Transocean employees to prove how well the change would be recieved.
