YES to Philosophical Exemptions in New York State

The petition

Suffolk County Assemblyman Marc Alessi recently introduced the Philosophical Exemption to Immunizations Act to New York State Legislature's health committee. This bill will allow parents in the state to opt out of vaccinations for their children. Right now, there are 18 states that give parents this right, the remaining states allow medical and religious exemptions. The parents of New York should have the right to make medical decisions for their children, not the state or school administrators. Please support Assemblyman Alessi's Philosophical Exemption to Immunizations Act by signing this petition.
