After all these years, It has been confirmed that a new production of the smash hit musical "Les Misérables" will be opening once again in Australia, and we want Mr Quast to reprise his role as Javert once more! If we can accumulate a good chunk of supporters on this page, I will be passing it onto the casting/production and companies for their consideration! ------- Philip Quast (born 30 July 1957) is an Australian actor who has three times won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical. He is perhaps best known for his role as Inspector Javert in the stage musical version of Les Misérables and for appearances in numerous Australian soap operas including Sons and Daughters, The Young Doctors and Police Rescue. He also played the role of Mr Banks in the Melbourne production of" Mary Poppins" in 2010. Quast played the part of Javert in "Les Misérables" in Australia, New Zealand and Great Britain as well as in "Les Misérables: The Dream Cast in Concert" at the Royal Albert Hall, on the Les Misérables Complete Symphonic Recording, and in Hey, Mr. Producer, a concert in honour of Sir Cameron Mackintosh.
