Name: Carol Pinheiro on Jul 29, 2011Comments: I have recently had to give up my Americaunas because of restrictions against "farm Animals" in Delaware county. All my neighbors are upset because they used to bring their kids and grandkids to see the gentle and inquisitive birds. They were just about to start laying. I would be fined if I did not find them a home. They have moved to the country on a 14 acre farm. i do not have 14 acres. Why can I not have chickens?!!!Flag

Name: Bonita Simpson on Jan 5, 2012Comments: I have been wanting to raise chickens for a long time. They would not only supply me with eggs but also help in my vegetable garden keeping insects under control. And as they age I would also get a supply of good food because i use no pesticides or herbicides on my property. My all my neighbors and freinds can tell you how great the produce is without all the chemicals. My chickens would be raise the same way. I even make my own dog food for pets because I know what I put in to it. You can not trust some companies to do the right thing. I can and preserve a lot of my own food. The main reason I do it is because I know whats in it.Flag

Name: Deborah Ferkler on May 2, 2012Comments: I am a responsible owner of 3 hens and have been ordered to remove them or turn them over to animal control. They are well taken cared of and most were area rescues brought to me. I feel it is wrong if I take care of them and they are fed and have a heated coop that we built for them. The daycare children come to see them on nice days. It is sad that one bitter person(neighbor) complains, they do about everything else too, gets your chickens and eggs taken away. I support you and the right to fresh eggs no matter where you live. Times are tough these days.Flag
