Ursula Tooleyutooley@verizon.netI'm a student in PG County schools, and you can tell that not very much thought goes into the little recycling that does go on.

MELISSAREVANSINC@AOL.COMWE TEACH OUR CHILDREN AT HOME TO CARE ABOUT THEIR ENVIRONMENT. ONE OF THE THINGS WE CAN DO IS TO RECYCLE. PLEASE HELP ENFORCE THE GOOD PRACTICES WE TEACH AT HOME BY RECYLING IN ALL OUR SCHOOLS. WE ONLY HAVE ONE EARTH AND WE NEED TO DO OUR PART TO SAVE IT.
Marika Nellmarika.nell@gmail.comI go to Eleanor Roosevelt and am part of the environmental club. Every other week we take out enough plastic recycling to fill a dumpster. If the school system had a better recycling program, then we could save even more plastic.

Jennifer Hiebertjahiebert@comcast.netI am surprised that PG County Schools do no recycling whatever. I was part of a volunteer recycling effort at my little college almost thirty years ago; surely we have come farther than that in the intervening years. (I am a PG County resident, by the way.)

Carla Partlowjpartlow425@aol.comPlease insitute a recycling program in PG schools. We have a responsibility to not only do what we can to conserve and to not destroy our planet but also to teach that message/lesson to our children.

David Zukdave.zuk@gmail.comLet's help make their's a cleaner world.
Scott Ehlersscottehlers@mac.comThis is rediculous. "Practice what you preach" is what I was always told. How can we tell our children to recycle and protect the environment when it's not even available in the place they're being taught. Change this policy now, please!
Christine Paruschristineparus@yahoo.comPlease establish a waste recycling program for our public schools.
Leah R.Wolfleah.wolf@verizon.net
Mary Ellen Kustinkustinm@yahoo.com
Nina S. Fayens_faye@yahoo.comThe schools should be participating in the County single stream recycling. The recycling should be mandated both by the school system and Prince George's County. It is impressive that our young people have stepped in where their adult elders have failed to act. This program should be implemented before the start of next fall's school year.
Heather Roymansheather_roymans@discovery.comI would never send my children into a school system that didn't support recycling. If this doesn't change, I will only consider private school when the time comes to send them to school
Jennifer Snyderjjsnyderjj@yahoo.com
W.Scott Chappellchappyws@hotmail.comWithout a county wide school recycling program what does Prince George's County teach its students? Hypocrisy in the form of fiscal irresponsibility and unsound policy governance.

Marita Novickynovickym@hotmail.comThank you for giving us the opportunity to weigh in on this matter. School Administrators, please, establish a yearly goal or goals for waste reduction while at the same time involving staff and students in the decision process in achieving yearly goals and helping to reduce our carbon imprint on our Earth.
Sandra L Owensslo@umd.eduSounds like an excellent way to help the environment. Every little bit helps! Thanks!
Todd Whiteheadtwhitehead76@yahoo.comAs a former graduate of a Prince George's County Public School, I would love to see this come to fruition.
Jeffrey Clarkjeff_clark3721@yahoo.comThis should be done at all levels. Elementary school kids can recycle small juice bottles they bring for lunch. Other kids can recycle water bottles, Sports drinks such as gatorade and soda cans.

Patricia Noonepanoone1@comcast.netI could not believe that there was no recycling in PG schools. What a waste, and what are we teaching the kids?
Kenneth R. LaureysK.Laureys@comcast.netBless you students for leading the school system where they should be headed without the need of a petition. Another green need is to fix the thousands of leaky plumping fixtures in hundreds of county schools, which likely waste millions of gallons of water a year!
