Renee Catacalosreneecatacalos@verizon.netMake sure we look at waste in the cafeteria as well as classrooms - teaching kids to properly sort their recyclable trash from an early age would be a life lesson as well as one that ties in with classroom learning!
katherine murdockkmurdock@umd.eduPlease help the younger generations learn that we all need to help the earth- right now!! If we are not teaching them this, when will the waste & destruction ever stop?
Alan Mattlagemattlage@verizon.comNot will recycling prevent valuable resources to be lost in our landfills, it is likely to protect our watershed by preventing trash from ending up in our sewers and streams.
Elizabeth Arnoldelizabetharnold@earthlink.netThere is so much support for and expertise in this community on recycling, there is no reason not to implement a school-system-wide recycling program without delay.
don Stewartdon@930.comWhat better way to teach children then by example.,,,,either good or bad. Schools should be recycling as much as possible and only sell items that can be recycled.

Judith Barnesbarnhr95@verizon.net
David DeRosadavederosa@yahoo.comTHis is exactly the sort of hands-on knowledge that our stduents need. It would be neglectful to allow this gap in their educaiton to continue.
Michele Dudash Fenstermichele.fenster@gmail.comWe need recylcing in our schools asap. We also need to purchase recycled supplies. This is an important message to give to all of our students.
Dana Grabinergrabiner1@aol.comI'd like to see composting done as well (we've been composting at our house for 8 years - it makes "black gold" that's great for the garden). What great hands-on environmental lessons the students could learn!

AnonymousAnonymousIt is deplorable that the Prince Georges county schools contribute in such an egregious manner to the polution and destruction of our planet. It is imperative that you implement a recycling program immediately. Cost should be a concern but it should not be the determining factor.
Nathan Schiffrikschiffrik@yahoo.com
Jeremy D. Robertsgtdread@hotmail.com
Muriel GreavesOcgsr1@hotmail.comPrince Georges Public Schools deserves better than this.
Lorraine Aldridge-Eyey.aldridge@verizon.netRecycling in schools. Just think that with well over 100,000 students in the Prince George's County schools an enormous amount of paper and recyclable cans and bottles are being sent to the landfill.
Patricia O'LearyPSOLeary@msn.comWe must recycle, we are trashing the planet if we don't. We have only ONE planet on which to live.
AnonymousAnonymousI pay my taxes to PG County and I expect the money to be used to recycle and NOT feed the landfill(s). Just do it PG County!
Josephine Rukh-KamaaSkamaa15@gmail.comWaste reduction education should be accompanied with action and the school is a best place to learn to learn the habit.
AnonymousAnonymousWith the increasing focus on "green" and the recent collection and recycling of old computer equipment at Surratesville High, we need to continue to send a message to our youth concerning the importance of protecting our environment.
Linda Verrilllinda_Verrill@yahoo.comHow can we teach our children to recycle if schools don't participate? It is a large learning opportunity lost. If nothing else, PG County Schools should start recycling for the sake of the children. Thank you.

Craig Tillmannctillmann@yahoo.com
terri rutledgeterri362@verizon.netPlease recycle in the Schools!!
John M. Engel, Jr.jackengel@gmail.comI was stunned to learn that our Prince George's School do no recycle. Our landfill capacity is limited and eventually we will have to haul our trash to Virginia like many other states. Please establish a yearly goal for waste reduction and a uniform recycling system at every school.
Stuart Eisenbergseisenbergww@hotmail.com
Janet Carpenterewx7@cdc.govIt's not a moment too soon to begin reducing and recycling - Save the planet for future generations!
Daniel Kaufmandkaufman32@msn.com
Jonah Blausteinjonah@mindspring.com
Krisa Arzayuskfl.arzayus@verizon.netThis is a very worthwhile goal and I applaud the students for pushing this agenda.
Matthew Johnsondeepj19@umd.edu
Lucy Duff`lucyduff@earthlink.netThe county government set up curbside single-stream recycling. It touts its "green Prince George's" efforts. How can the schools be left out?
AnonymousAnonymousLets practice what we teach. The only problem is finding a way that this incentive will not cost money . but generate money for schools.
