A: The City of Pleasant Grove is asking Pleasant Grove tax payers for $16 million to build Public Safety Buildings (PSB)

B: However, an appointed Blue-Ribbon Citizen’s Committee has delivered a report to Mayor Call with 6 alternative options, and it has been reported that at least one option recommended by the committee would cost less than half of the $16 million proposal being voted upon.

C: In order to become knowledgeable about all 6 options and to become fully informed voters; Pleasant Grove citizens need public access to read and review that report.

D: However, to date, Mayor Bruce Call has not made public the Committee's report.

Therefore:

Petition 1st: We, the citizens of Pleasant Grove, call on the Mayor to make public the Blue Ribbon Committee's report no later than Wednesday October 16th, 2013 so that all citizens have sufficient time to become fully informed about all 6 recommended options before early voting begins on October 22nd.

Petition 2nd: We, the citizens of Pleasant Grove, further call on all City Council members to sign this petition in support and approval of Mayor Call releasing the Blue Ribbon Committee's report no later than Wednesday October 16th, 2013 so that all of the City Council's constituents have sufficient time to become fully informed about all 6 recommended options before early voting begins on October 22nd.
