Name: Linda Townsend on Jun 13, 2008Comments: To: U. S. Congress PETITION FOR REDRESS OF GRIEVANCES We the People of the United States, do hereby demand that our duly elected representatives in both houses of Congress, initiate impeachment proceedings against the following Supreme Court Justices: John Paul Stevens Anthony M. Kennedy David H. Souter Ruth Bader Ginsburg Stephen G. Breyer We, the undersigned, consider the Supreme Court ruling in Boumediene et al. v. Bush, 06-1195, rendered June 12, 2008, not only unacceptable, but to be in criminal violation of the Justice's oaths to uphold, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. Be advised that We the People regard elected officials to be our public servants. Failure to take action against the Justices specified shall be considered support for the decision rendered in the aforementioned case, and will result in our resolve to ensure your defeat in the next election. Being from myriad political and ideological spectra, we are united in our belief that foreign nationals or enemy combatants held at Guantanamo Bay DO NOT have a right to pursue habeas challenges to their detention. Sincerely, Linda TownsendFlag

This is completely UNACCEPTABLE and We The People will simply not tolerate judicial tyranny at ANY level, let alone the US Supreme Court. This is NOT a *defeat* for President Bush as many liberals would like to believe. This is a defeat for the United States and the justices who voted in favor of treason should be IMPEACHED immediately! We The People have simply had ENOUGH!Flag

Name: Scott Smith on Jun 13, 2008Comments: The 5-4 decision by the U.S. Supreme Court granting terrorists the right to a trial in U.S. civilian courts is perfect grounds for the current President to paraphrase Old Hickory's similar defiance of John Marshall 176 years ago with respect to removal of the Cherokee from Georgia: "John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it." I wouldn't be so polite. I'd go on national television and tell Supreme Court "justice" Anthony Kennedy where he can stick it, and if he doesn't like it, he can meet me in the front yard of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. and we'll settle it like men, if he can find a man willing to stand in for him. The MSM and the glitterati would have conniption fits, Leftists around the world would have "the vapors", and REAL Americans would cheer from sea to shining sea... Bush's approval rating would go through the roof, just for finally saying "NO! Enough is Enough!".Flag

Name: Reinald Vallejo Jr on Jun 13, 2008Comments: What these judges did was nothing less than treason. They are no longer interpreting law, but making and breaking laws. There is nothing left to do to these traitors but stand up to them. The President should stand up to this ruling and disobey it as well as every American. This ruling has taken away any benefit of American citizenship. No country in the history of the world has given legal status to granted the same legal status for its attackers as its citizens. If loyal law-abiding American citizens have the same legal status as those who are trying to kill us and end our nation, if we as Americans are equals under our law, then what advantage does being an American have over any other citizen of any other country Do we have any right at all Do we have a nation at all And the logical end of that question is no. No we do not have any rights at all. We do not have a Constitution, we do not have a nation of laws. We have nothing but the anarchy of an oligarchy. Our legal system comes from the same legal tradition as England, the country we revolted from and fought a bloody war to secede from. And just like England had a King that was a tyrant over the people of England, so we have a king-like presence that holds a tyrannical fist over our nation, and that presence is the judges who have traded their U.S. positions given to them to uphold our laws for the position of law makers, law breakers, and treasonists. They are the new King of England in our Brave New America. The only question left is how will modern America we deal with these Kings and Queens Will it be like our forefathers or will it be a total surrender of our power as a free peopleFlag

You have made some terrible, terrible decisions, but this is the worst. Congress, start proceedings immediately to remove the Justices listed above from SCOTUS, and every other bench in the nation. They should be thankful that the punishment isn't more severe.Flag
