PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION ASKING EUROSTAR TO RECONSIDER THEIR POLICY TOWARDS THE CARRIAGE OF PETS. WE WILL PRESENT IT TO EUROSTAR'S CHIEF EXECUTIVE.
The Pet Travel Scheme has been in place since February 2000 and over 500,000 pet dogs and cats have successfully entered or left the UK by air, sea and the Shuttle (the drive-on train from Folkstone to Calais) which is part of Eurotunnel and which strongly supported the Pet Travel Scheme from the start.
But Eurostar (the passenger train from St.Pancras to the Continent)who effectively control the sole link between trains in the UK and the rest of Europe, still refuses to carry pet dogs and cats even though pet owners are willing to pay for this service and to comply with any pre-booking system imposed.
Eurostar discriminates against non-driving pet-owners by denying access to the French and the wider European rail networks. In the present age of growing freedom of movement, with increasing emphasis on rail travel, this restriction is no longer acceptable.
I am currently organizing all your stories about how this travel ban impacts your lives so I can present them directly to the Eurostar executives. Please email your local representative today to ask why they continue to block pet owners from international rail travel. Keep posting this link to your social media accounts so we can force them to address this policy.

This wave of support proves that people are tired of being barred from traveling with their pets. Post this link on Facebook right now so we keep the pressure on Eurostar executives. Email your local representative and demand they question why this rail link remains closed to our animals.

Please reserve some pet-friendly carriages for those travelling on the Eurostar. It would be far better for the environment than having to drive by car.

Every time I want to take my poodle to France, I have to take the "schuttle" and travel on my own over two or three days, which is tiring and dangerous . Why would Eurostar not organise a wagon for pet owners. It is very unfair not to do so, as pets are allowed on TGV in France and fast trains in UK. If I was to take my pet on a train to Folkestone, I can t take it on the shuttle without being in a car. So I am forced to travel by car.

Everything else about life in Europe with your pet is terribly civilized. Please consider giving a significant group of potential customers an excellent reason to use Eurostar. Perhaps travel could be restricted to certain hours or days etc

A pet in a case can be taken on the Thalys to Brussels, overnigiht trains to Italy and elsewhere, in France, in the UK, virtually everywhere except for the Eurostar. Given that the UK lifted quarantines some time ago, the Eurostar policy is inexplicable, and will certainly force many of us, reluctantly, to take a plane in order to be able to bring our pets with us to the UK on holiday.

All other carriers allow dogs to travel with their owners. It’s ridiculous
