Heather Meadows and Heather Glen apartments have had problems with fleas for a very long time. I recommended that Diatomaceous Earth be spread over all the grass and even in the field which is located between Heather Meadows and Heather Glen. Most people if not all, take their dogs to that field to defecate and get some exercise. We, the tenants of Heather Meadows and Heather Glen, need to let the owners of these two complexs, Pacific Living, know that we will not tolerate the flea infestation any longer. It is the law that the Landlord/owners take care of infestations. Quote RCW 59.18.060: The Landlord will at times during the tenancty keep the premises fit for human habitation, and shall in particular: (Paragraph 4) - "Provide a reasonable program for the control of infestation by insects, redents, and other pests at the initiation of the tenancy....control infestation during tenancy except where such infestation is caused by the tenant." I do not think that tenants have brought the fleas in. They live in the grass. I know that when I am outside, they jump onto my feet and when I am inside my unit, they find my cats. I am tired of this and I am tired of spending money on something that can be avoided with Diatomaceous Earth.
