Pursuant to Ohio Law, Revised Code, 517.02, we, the undersigned, respectfully petition the Board of Trustees of Anderson Township, Hamilton County, Ohio for public access to be provided to the Bridges Family Cemetery. We, the direct descendants, the spouses and the friends of the direct descendants that reside there in perpetuity, do humbly make this request.
We would like to add that John Bridges, the first resident of Anderson Twp and his wife Hannah are interred there. The cemetery is at present located behind the residence of Ms. Marianne Schmits at 7176 Bridges Lane, Anderson Twp, OH 45230.

I have been spending hours this week digging through old records and maps to build our case for the township trustees. It is deeply painful to see my ancestors resting behind a fence that keeps their own kin away. Please know that I am working hard to ensure John and Hannah Bridges finally get the respect they deserve.

Seeing this kind of support for my ancestors makes me realize how many people care about preserving our local history. It is deeply moving to see so many recognize that the resting place of John and Hannah Bridges deserves to be treated with dignity and proper access.

Fix this now. People have a right to visit their own family graves without asking for permission.
My grandmother is buried there and we have not been able to visit in years. This is ridiculous.

There needs to be access to this graveyard. Walking through people's private property is not appropriate.
