To the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change
Hinkley Point C Nuclear power station
We, the undersigned, strongly oppose the plan by EdF to construct a new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point in Somerset. Instead, a government-backed programme of energy saving and clean renewable energy would combat climate change and avoid the risks of a catastrophic accident, dangers to health and the storage of highly radioactive waste at Hinkley for 160 years.

this is such a short sighted plan. Where will the waste go, it's dangerous ideas like this that ruin the planet for future generations. Please stop thinking about your wallets and consider the earth as the provider of our life. If you continue to poison it what then???

Nuclear waste is a problem we are shoving onto our kids. Absolutely wrong.
Nuclear is just not the answer in this day and age. Why are we going backwards when we should be investing in solar and wind?

There is no way of disposing of nuclear waste, so let's not create any more of it when there are clean alternatives!
