Comments: This project is a sure way to kill a village. Big box stores will make it impossible for small store owners to be competivive, not to mention taking away from the ambience of a tourist village. Squeezing their way into a village by posing as a boutique is just insult to injury.

Comments: Walmat has a long established predatory business practice of killing "mom and pop" businesses. Those are the kinds of businesses we need in Port Credit to maintain and enhance our Village. We do not need any big box stores period.

Comments: Lots of big box store options in a 10 min drive from just about anywhere. Port Credit should stay as it is.

Comments: So much for keeping a quaint, safe, beautiful tourist town where the Port Credit BIA tag has been "Think Global; Shop Local" for years. As well, the traffic and pollution that will congest the streets and affect the quality of life for all of us; we will be in constant grid lock and always worried about our kid's safety on the streets, more street lights, etc. Port Credit the new downtown Mississauga - so sad....

Comments: It never ceases to amaze me that no matter how many skilled and responsible professionals are employed by the City of Mississauga, all a developer has to do is run crying and complaining to the Ontario Municipal Board to have another kick at the development cat. I'd understand if there were some skullduggery going on. But everything has been above-board and thoroughly vetted by professional to adhere to the expressed wishes of the people's elected representatives. Can someone explain to me why this isn't a sterling example of corporate sour grapes?

Comments: This development is inappropriate for the area. It will dramatically increase traffic in an already busy residential area. In addition, it will have a detrimental effect on the established small businesses in the area as well as the small businesses which have recently opened. I am not opposed to development if it is thoughtful & done in consultation with those affected.
