Sir/Madam We, the undersigned, are either presently loyal subscribers to your sports channel, or have previously been subscribers and have recently cancelled our subscriptions because we were extremely unhappy at what we perceive as an ongoing corporate vendetta which has targeted and disenfranchised the football team we support, namely Rangers. If the media in Scotland is to be believed, SKY and ESPN have now agreed terms with the SFL and the SPL to broadcast Rangers games for the next 3 years. This certainly makes us happy, and in a perfect world we would have either been more than content to immediately renew our subscriptions or to continue them. However, recent prevarications by the SPL and SFA have not filled us with optimism with regards to the possibility of future sanctions and perceived vindictive actions against Rangers. Yesterday, Rangers were granted a “conditional” SFA license, and notice was given of an intention to initiate further proceedings against them on 12 August 2012. We note that this date is two days after the date that SKY and ESPN will reportedly make payment on their contract to the SPL. We do not see this as a coincidence. As such, we are either committed to cancelling our subscriptions or unwilling to renew our subscriptions with your company until such times that we are satisfied that there will be no more unwarranted repercussions against Rangers, and that the vindictive self-interest and greed within Scottish football ceases. Furthermore, while not encouraging action, we are actively informing fellow supporters of our cause and highlighting their options as to future subscriptions to your channel. Please be aware that we have neither issue with SKY, ESPN nor the SFL whom we believe to have behaved impeccably throughout this saga. Our issue is with what we believe to be the corrupt and indefensible actions of the SPL in particular, and the SFA. We will all look forward to continuing or renewing our subscriptions when this sorry mess has been put behind us and we can return to concentrating on the game we all love and to the furtherment of Scottish football. We would be extremely grateful if you would pass this statement along to the appropriate corporate contact and confirm that you have done so. Lastly we ask that you treat this correspondence and all identities of the undersigned as confidential under the terms of the Data Protection Act 1998 and other relevant legislation. With kind regards The undersigned
