We, the residents of Mockingbird Heights subdivision, petition the City of Midland to deny Bluestem Energy Holdings the permission to drill prospective well Bluestem Evans N 1 located on the Evans lease 623 feet from the South and 2035 feet from the East line Section 8, Abstract 17, Block X, H.P. Hilliard Survey, Midland County, Texas for the extraction of oil and gas.

Drilling a well at the above mentioned location for the extraction of oil and gas will have many detrimental effects on the quality of our community such as negatively impacting property values, creating an environment conducive to noise and air pollution, diminishing the aesthetic value of our neighborhood, increasing congestion and safety hazards on Mockingbird Lane due to increased oil field tracffic, damaging Mockingbird Lane due to heavy equipment loads and disturbing the night with bright lights from flaring and drilling operations.
