Name: Chris Rozanitis on Jan 4, 2013Comments: As a bowhunter in New Jersey, I am against the change in early fall archery season NOT allowing me to harvest a buck after I have harvested my required antlerless deer. I will no longer participate in the early archery season due to this change.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 4, 2013Comments: Early season is my most favorite time to hunt, it is still warm out and it is in my opinion the best time of the year to get your big buck you have scouted all season, after you get your doe of course. If you can no longer shoot a buck, I, along with many of my friends would simply wait to the rut in November to go after our bucks.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 4, 2013Comments: I agree with the need to harvest a doe prior to a buck. By doing so the herd is being kept healthy. As a hunter that endures the hot temperatures to partake in a sport that I love the reward is to be able to harvest a buck before they change patterns before being pressured.Flag

Name: Michael Yocius on Jan 4, 2013Comments: the opportunity for antlers is the motivation for taking that first early doe. this change will decrease the number of does harvested, because most will wait until the regular fall opener.Flag

Name: Brian Cowden on Jan 4, 2013Comments: I do not support the elimination of buck hunting during the Earn A Buck early fall bow season once at least one doe has been tagged. I fear this rule is in response to Conservation Officer concerns over the new automated check-in system and carries the potential of limiting doe harvest, the exact opposite of what is intended with these early fall bow and EAB seasons.Flag

Name: Jack Haris on Jan 4, 2013Comments: This is an outrage. Keep September earna-buck in place, and furthermore, we need better quality bucks to hunt. I have reviewed with MANY hunters. Keep all your seasons and permits in place to make money -we get that. BUT -TWO BUCKS PER CALENDAR YEAR PER HUNTER REGARDLESS OF METHOD. If you shoot two bucks with bow, before shotgun or muzzleloader or winter bow, etc - you are done. We want LESS bucks harvested, and same opportunity to bow hunt for our bucks while still in velvet on their summer patterns.Flag

Name: Chris Moser on Jan 5, 2013Comments: Theres already not enough does in my zone 14 & 17. And there is definitely poor age structure. If anything either take away the earnabuck or make the gun hunters earnabuck also. Also reduce the total amount of bucks that can be killed to 2 per season. If I cant kill a buck in sept I wont be hunting then.Flag
