Comments: I have to agree with this petition,as a child growing up and throught my teen years match of the day was like a saturday night institution for me and many of my friends who were football fans. Even if I had seen the game live it was nice to watch the highlights and get a nice bit of commentary and analysis after and enjoy watching other games. Can honestly say I've watched very little motd's in teh last 10 years due to the second rate pundirty during games, bad highlighting and a panel of ex footballers who bring nothing more than cheap jokes and snipes. It's a shame as many people used to enjoy this program and it's been diluted.

Comments: More game footage, show the times of incidents, and stop cutting matches that give an unfair and innacurate representation of what actually went on over the 90 minutes. Then remind the lads in the studio that theyre sitting on a pundits couch, not the fence.

Comments: The pundits on Match of the Day are generally terrible. They don't do any research and don't provide any insight into the games they are watching, which is going against what a pundit is meant to do. This needs to change.

Comments: I find the whole thing feeling like it's pitched towards the least enthusiastic supporters out there; much like the producers are concerned at appealing to the wife who is sat beside the actual football fan who craves hearing more insightful comments about the games. I believe they are scared of going for the more serious approach in light of people saying this is too in-depth. The highlights themselves would be best served if they were slightly longer. They are badly edited, as is the audio over the top of it. Very little denotes the way the game went; using the goals as basis for everything is flawed. Often a team that has bossed proceedings can look like they had their backs to their wall if simply outscored. Nepotism shines in Shearer's inclusion; truly an awful pundit. How about just a shake-up. Why on Earth would that be a bad thing?
