Name: Sophie Scott on Jan 27, 2012Comments: I live on St Donatt's Road (SE14 6NU), and have lived in the area since 2006. I love living in the area, and have noticed that there are new businesses in the area which are making it a nicer place to live. It is such a shame that there are several empty properties in the area - until Goldsmiths does something to improve them, or sell them, New Cross is going to continue to be down beat. We all want to have pride in our local area - it is such a shame that Goldsmiths has no plans to do anything to remedy the situation.Flag

Name: Tessa Brown on Jan 27, 2012Comments: It is morally wrong to have any building, resident or not, and have it empty and not maintained. For that reason alone Goldsmiths should be made to be responsible owners and improve the area where they are based.Flag

Name: Katherine Burrows on Jan 27, 2012Comments: Goldsmiths exploits its location to attract its (increasingly) 'student'-customers. The management's attitude to the value of the university as a cash cow rather than a place of committed and communal progress through learning is evident in most of its directives. Good luck to the residents of New Cross!Flag

Surely the council could find a by-law under which to prosecute Goldsmiths.Flag
