Petition on behalf of all residents of New Cross and New Cross Gate: We, the undersigned, call upon Lewisham Council to put the maximum possible pressure on Goldsmith's College to either properly maintain or sell on the empty properties it owns in the New Cross area, including commercial properties (such as the parade of shops on the south side of New Cross Road opposite the New Cross Inn) and residential properties (such as 38 St Donatts Rd, SE14). We believe that the refusal of the College to meet its responsibilities in this respect is seriously undermining the efforts of the Council, local businesses and community groups to regenerate the New Cross area.
