Recently, Fort Bend ISD announced a proposal to change the attendance zones of certain schools within the district. This is a petition for the Fort Bend Board of Trustees to keep Ridge Point High School's current attendance boundary. Many of our students are happy and successful at RPHS, and many have close friends. Changing the attendance zone would ruin many lifelong friendships and may even affect the academic performance of some students, if they are unhappy in the new school. Also, there is a strong sense of school pride at RPHS. Many students are proud of their school and want the best for themselves, their school, and their community. In conclusion, we politely, but strongly, ask Fort Bend Independant School District to let Ridge Point High School keep its current attendance zone.
