We, the residents of Senadin, Miri, Sarawak, would like to express our disappointment and dissatisfaction over the poor reliability of electricity supply to this region. For the past few years, we have been enduring frequent unplanned power outages that affect our daily life. Complaints have been filed to the Miri SESCO office but little has been done. Not only that the reliability of the electricity supply does not improve, it has been worse. On 22 May 2013, we experienced a 4.5 hours blackout from 9:10 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. On 31 March and 1 April 2014, we experienced blackout at night again for more than 4 hours each day, which is totally unacceptable. Through this petition, we demand:-

1. SESCO to significantly improve the reliability of power supply to its customers in Senadin through facilities upgrade and maintenance.

2. SESCO to resume the electricity supply within an hour if unforeseen power outage occur.

3. SESCO to inform the customers in Senadin at least a day earlier prior to any planned power outage.
