Following losing such a large sum of money from our PMS contract for funding (20%) we are struggling to continue to provide the services that we have, and I have taken a substantial pay cut in order to do so. There is no way the practice that I work at could take on any extra work without funding -- to think that 30% additional work could be undertaken in primary care without investiment is just crazy talk. Morale is so low. Why is a successful hospital being dismantled??? It makes no sense. The children's A+E at Lewisham is superb. Why destroy it?? ITU is highly regarded, and an excellent training facility for juniors. Why destroy it?> And what about the training scheme for general practitioners? The educational life of Lewisham Hospital does matter, we get high calibre applicants as excellent training schemes are in place.Which borough do you practise in?: LewishamFlag

It appears that central Government is seeking to impose its will on the people of Lewisham. I commend the work that has been done locally by people on the CCG, Lewisham Housing and Lewisham Hospital NHS Trust. We have been able to work together to provide sustainable health services for the people of Lewisham. We should all be proud of this. I feel that all the good work that we have done over the years is being eroded. I have grave concerns about the impact this will have on unscheduled care particularly with the imposition of 111. SELDOC our local GP OOH services that is run by local GPs for local people is being dismantled. Lewisham Hospital is dismantled. This will have serious consequence on patient care, GP education and ensuring retention of new GPs locally. The Government should reconsider its position and strategy and reject the recommendations of the TSA regarding item 5.
