Petition to dismantle FEMA.
In the wake of recent hurricanes and other disasters in the US, it is obvious that FEMA is no longer a viable government organization. This petition would require the US government to reallocate majority funding from FEMA to each state, therefore giving FEMA an advisory role and a resource for staging supplies instead of overall control in each state. FEMA would not control or supersede any state government agency allowing each state to react more timely and efficiently to save lives.
The time it takes FEMA to acclimate is simply unacceptable. The American people deserve and demand better.
