Whereas Skyward allows students to print their grades with a date stamp at the bottom, it should not be necessary for teachers to duplicate the grading process and reproduce grades already available to students, parents, and administrators. We, the undersigned, believe that students should access and print their own grades at home, school, or anywhere the Internet and a printer are available. We believe students should be able to print a copy of the propationary form, if necessary, from the school Web site, or a blank copy should be made available to them in the athletic office. We believe that teachers have the responsibility of keeping grades up-to-date and reviewing plans of action with students. But we believe that we should be making better use of our time and our technology. By putting our names on this petition, we believe the aforementioned process would be a step in making student athletes -- all student athletes, not just those with lower than a C -- more responsible for their academic progress.
