This petition is to change the 4 Steps to Stardom format. The format is as followed: Step 1: House Round (up to house of how many they wish to send to zones) Step 2: Zones (compete individually. 1st place represents our zone as a single representative, 2nd through 5th place would form the team) Step 3: Provincials Step 4: Nationals This format would allow equal opportunity for every bowler, as it wouldn't matter what house you bowl in, because you have the same chance to move further on in the tournament. This also will prevent house jumping, because bowlers may bowl in which ever house they wish instead of having to go somewhere else in order for the same opportunities as those bowlers who bowl in a house with a larger quantity of bowlers. Some questions previously asked to me with answers include: Q: What about the team unity that is there by being just within your house for team event? A: As the team is made up of your zone, it is likely that you will know the people already due to past tournaments. Also, an added bonus to this way is that you are able to make better friends with bowlers in different centers, which is what YBC is all about, making new friends. Q: How would practices work? A: Practices would take a little more effort in the planning, but are still manageable and can be done at different centers, which will benefit the bowlers more as they are getting use of different lanes for better preparation. Q: How would a coach be selected: A: Coaching could be done by having coaches volunteer and name be put into a draw or voted in by the bowlers.
