We the residents of the Town of Superior by signing this petition are expressing our concerns for our health and safety regarding the regular use of hazardous chemicals to maintain the aesthetics of our parks and open spaces as allowed under the current IPM standards and demand that our elected officials adopt a new and safer standard of practice to maintain our parks and open spaces

The regular use of these chemicals such as 2-4-D (listed by the EPA as hazardous) exposes our citizens who enjoy and reside in these areas in the community to an unacceptable risk of health and safety.

We request that our elected officials ban the use of hazardous chemical pesticides & herbicides used on our town property and adopt the fundamental practices of the NOFA standards which mandate the regular use of safe organic products or products approved by OMRI, or those that fall under the 25(B) exemption from the EPA.
