Petition - Manchester to remain in the EU
We, the undersigned, call upon the Government to introduce a Bill to provide for the holding of a national referendum on whether Manchester:
A) Should remain a member of the United Kingdom on the current terms;
B) Should leave the United Kingdom
C) Should re-negotiate the terms of its membership in order to create a new relationship based on trade and co-operation.
And when that referendum comes about, we shall be voting (B) because (A) is no longer tenable and (C) would be UK membership all over again, and Manchester does not wish to remain in a divided and polarised society where petty political infighting impacts on our pursuit of happiness and makes us an international joke.
We shall continue to engage with our fellow Europeans who live outside our borders (aka the M60) though readers of the Daily Mail will need a visa to enter. Scottish and Northern Irish visitors will not be subject to passport checks
