Target: Las Vegas City Council Sponsored by: The youth of Las Vegas NM The community of Las Vegas New Mexico continues to be struck with tragedy due to the carelessness of our political leaders for they do not see the issues at hand.The Alternative youth demands for something to do that is "outside the box" This includes Skateboarding and Bmx,etc. Support for these activities are not provided.Everyone within the community is affected by the vandalism caused by this repression. Due to the lack of efficient hours at the Abe Montoya recreation center skate-park,many kids find themselves with no outlets and nothing to do-nowhere to go for several hours.Kids who ride bmx bicycles are prohibited from this park and can only resort to riding elsewhere.Skateboarders and bikers alike agree that the sanctions put upon them are unfair and demand attention. By signing this petition we take the first step towards getting our voice heard! Call to action: Call for a youth oriented place of expression for alternative youth to occupy.
