We the undersigned request that Ms. Aimee Moss, recently elected to the Governing Board of the Walnut Creek School District, resign her post before officially beginning her term in December of 2014.

Ms. Moss was caught and admitted to stealing a campaign sign from a community member’s property. The sign was placed by her opponent Sherri Mc Goff. The homeowner is apparently looking into filing a complaint with the California Fair Political Practices Commission.

In the meanwhile, this incident has left the Walnut Creek School District and its constituents in a quandary. Many voters were unaware of the theft before they voted and we are confident that community members would have made a different choice had they known.

While Ms. Moss’s offense was not severe, allowing her to serve on the Board would send an inappropriate message to our community and our children about the consequences of unethical behavior. Furthermore, Ms. Moss has lost our confidence in being able to successfully make appropriate choices for the Walnut Creek School District and its constituents. As such, we respectfully ask that Ms. Aimee Moss decline her position on the Governing Board.
