As we all know now, there is a systemic problem in our nation with the execution of young unarmed black men by white police officers. According to the most recent accounts of justifiable [???] homicide reported to the FBI, nearly two times a week in the United States, a white police officer killed a black person during a seven-year period ending in 2012. Analysis shows that young black men are 21 times more likely than whites to be killed by police. It is high time that our officials take the necessary steps in weeding out police officers who are pre-disposed to commit an unjustifiable killing of a black American. An Implicit Association Test (IAT) is designed to detect if an officer has implicit, or hidden racial biases. Failure to pass the IAT should result in a decline for acceptance on the police force in that jurisdiction and the termination of those who are currently on the force.
