This petition is to advocate for the formation of a Division of Women within the American Counseling Association (ACA). Other professional mental health organizations, such as the American Psychological Association (APA), have had specific divisions focused on women and women's issues established for decades. The time is right for ACA to have a division that addresses issues of sexism and other concerns that impact women (cisgender and transgender women) within our field.
