My sister recently passed away, 20 years young, and she was a bright and thriving artist. She had sold a lot of her paintings through Facebook and my family and I are desperate to get into her messages and try and contact the people who bought her paintings and buy them back from them. It would provide some closure for my family and I'm sure that there have been others in our situations (maybe not with paintings, but with clothes, jewelery, etc). Facebook has not been working well with me because of their privacy rules. I am asking them to put a clause in there saying that if a member is ever deceased, they should provide the account information to the family. I know that they "memoralize" accounts but that is not what we want and that is not what she would want. Please help me get this clause inserted into the "Facebook Laws" so families, like ours, can have some closure and get back some really important things that belonged and was made by my late sister. Thank you for all of your help and support. It will be baby steps for a while but eventually we will have this changed so families that have lost someone so close and so dear can be able to have closure.
