PETITION DEMANDING PROTECTION OF OUR DRINKING WATER SUPPLY AND OTHER AREA WATERS

We, as members of the Mobile area community, whose families live in Mobile, Prichard, Africa town, Eight Mile, Satsuma, Saraland, Chickasaw, Semmes, Wilmer, Spanish Fort, Daphne, Fairhope, and Dauphin Island, stand united and demand that our elected officials stand up and take immediate action to do whatever is necessary to protect the health, safety, and welfare of our families by stopping the proliferation and expansion of petroleum and hazardous material storage and transport by pipelines, trains, or trucks in areas that may pose ANY public health and safety risks to our drinking water supply or to the health of our creeks, streams, wetlands, and bays that are so important to our way of life.

  • tiffany ackerman I am against this pipeline. How could anyone rest their head at night knowing the potential for polluting a community's sole water source? The lines bust all the time. Get off the stupid dirty oil!! But money talks so I guess we are screwed. Nice to ask the public's opinion on the matter too. Plains Southcap and the people who let this happen, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

  • Jan Friedlander We agree to stop this pipe line NOW.
It would be devasting to the surrounding cities to loose our water from Big Creek Lake. For information the port of Mobile is one of very few ports that a ship can take fresh water (drinking water ) from.

  • sandra doney Quality of life, health, and future matter!
