Petition by Masters Parents Supporting Later Start
To Dr. Fonseca and The Masters School Administration:
We, the undersigned, support your original proposal to start the school day at 8:35 a.m. by taking 5 minutes off morning meetings and each class period. We ask you to announce prior to the 2013-14 contract deadline that you will, starting September 2013, implement this initiative that is vital to the health, well-being and safety of our children.

Enough sleep seems to be a thing too elusive to catch at this age therefore I support the later start.

We believe in the later start of the school day for all of the reasons that the administration originally listed. The parents of middle school children who were against the idea might appreciate these reasons more when their children are in high school

I agree with a later start but I wish we could have debated where the time would be taken from. I would have preferred it taken from morning meeting, morning break and only as a last resort, teaching time.

Anything to promote the health of our children is most welcome. My son must commute from far and is so sleep depraved.
