Due to growing concerns among citizens regarding the management of city finances, I, as a resident and taxpayer of the City of Racine, hereby demand an audit of three of the key components of our government. The City Attorney's office, for an accounting of lawsuits and fees the city has had to pay, The intergovernmental Revenue Sharing Account, through which a significant portion of program and project financing flows, and the Management Information Systems Dept., which spends 2.3 million dollars annually with a staff of 8 employees. This audit must be done by an independent and reputable accounting firm as soon as possible, but no later than Jan. 31, 2015
