For the past few months I have been having problems with a stray cat in my neighbourhood. I called animal control and at the time they had no traps, right away that's a problem, a town with over 15,000 people should have more than two traps. When i finally got one it was placed on my deck, and a week later, though the cat had not been caught, removed. In my neighbourhood there are atleast 20 rabbits running around, on december 15th i watched the cat chase one, when i went to chase it away i noticed the bunny bleeding by a snow bank, my friend caught it and when i tried to call animal control recieved no answer. The bunny died the next day before i could get it to a vet. When animal control was notified about the incident I was told there was nothing they could do and that rabbits were "fair game". Is it not their job to catch feral cats that are nuisances Not only is this cat going onto everyone's property and spraying, now it is also killing other animals the residents around here all care for. I'm sure my incident isn't the only one, and i want to try to prevent any others like it from happening, so please take a minute and sign this petition.
