10 Monica Church12601It's time to be responsible about what we are doing to our personal environs- there are ogranic alternatives!
11 tanya marquette12561it has long been known that many pesticides are neurotoxins which not only affect neurology, but also cause cancer and other autoimmune deficiency diseases. it is about time that government show more consideration for the public than industry's greed.

26 Eric Savelson12561I strongly support this petition. We should use the alternatives that are available rather than risk our, and our neighbors, health.
27 Nora Strano12561My oldest son Nicholas was poisoned at the New Paltz High School last year. They applied herbicides and pesticides on the grass while his gym class was outside on the same lawn for gym. They didn't even have a licensed applicator applying the poison. We contacted the DEC, but my son will have to live with the consequences.

36 Shelley N. Fagiola12589Responsible, safe, healthy living starts at home. We need to decrease our exposure to environmental toxins whenever reasonably possible. Stopping the use of lawn poisons is one reasonable way.

38 Kathryn S. Connors12561I am outraged to find out that the schools have been spraying without telling us, and am so very, very happy that you are working to help stop this practice in our town by businesses and private owners. A pure, green lawn is not worth compromising my health, nor the health of this towns children. THANK YOU for taking action!

43 Jo Salas12561This has long been a concern of mine and I'm glad to see action taken. I hope a similar initiative will happen in Gardiner.

50 Colleen Geraghty12561I take my daily walk every day in New Paltz and I was surprised to see how many apartment complexes are spraying all up and down Henry Dubois. Almost all the complexes had little yellow poison signs. I was also surprised to see yellow poison signs on all the athletic fields at New Paltz College. Don't people realize the dangerous health implications of these poisons?
