* Back out a change made a long time ago, especially when that change added or removed files. * Figure out how to merge a whole bunch of changes from one branch to another, without getting stupid conflicts that aren't conflicts at all. * The syntax of perforce is absurd and stinky and no one understands it. Ever. * There is no way to find out whats going on with the files in your workspace, without a slow roundtrip to the server for every file in the local workspace directory! * We are not the only ones just google 'I hate perforce' and you will see a bunch of links So please replace perforce with Mercurial or SVN .

Frederic Bautista, France2 years ago Comments: How can this mess of a version control can still be out and used nowadays? There are so must counter intuitive and absurd ways that perforce actually enforce that it's just retarded. Kudos to the commercials who sell this stuff out and maintain it as some "industry standard" those people are absolute masters really.
