| 1 | Mike Marsh | Percussion Works is a valuable addition to the community and has given my son so much more confidence in his abilities |
| 2 | Liz Okoye | Christchurch council’s decision not to grant them planning permission for their music teaching studio at Groveley Business Park due to objections from neighbours, simply doesn’t make any sense. As I wait outside for my son to finish his lesson, the sound of drumming can barely be heard. There are machine noises and hammering from the nearby car body workshop and plenty of traffic noise from Somerford Road. The plans submitted to the council even included further insulation, which will result in total soundproofing. Environmental health officers could find no problem with the proposal and recommended approval after their inspection. I therefore strongly urge councillors on the planning committee to visit the studio and listen for themselves to the supposed noise. |
| 3 | henry farmer | i get it now!!
if they don't let you i recon that you should drive the fork lift truck up and down the thing 24/7 playing loud music!! |
| 4 | daryl yarwood | this facility is an enormous oppertunity for young people from the area to learn new skills and i am sure over the years will make and reckognise many talented young drummers. i live relitivly close to the studio and have never heard any noise coming from the building. it would be a shame to throw away such a brilliant oppertunity for all those young drummers. |

| 7 | Luisa Mellish | My husband has worked extremely hard to turn a disused industrial unit into a fully equipped teaching facility that provides essential input to children and adults in the local community. It gives children a focus and helps them achieve musical goals and adults a new challenge. My husband worked hard to ensure that the studio was soundproofed before he opened it to his students. All he wants is to be able to help people to become good and he is willing to work with the local neighbours to ensure it is not a problem for them. I think it is a shame that they are not willing to come to the studio and discuss what they would like. I have personally stood outside the studio and cannot hear whether people are in there or not. |

| 9 | joe senington | a great place to learn, with great teachers |
| 10 | Jordan Toovey | Simon is the greatest drum teacher in the world! hes always kind, helpfull, there when i need someone, and great at drums! Right now hes teaching my Green Day drum lines! He needs help with his studio, because without his studio and his teaching, what would drumming be... would be boring! but with Simons help and infulences, he makes drumming twice as fun (and fast) |
| 11 | jacquie knight | Fantastic facility run by dedicated guys who are working hard to offer youngsters the chance to learn adn experience the benefits of music . They are doing great work with children of all abilities and teach able bodied as well as those with specific learning disabilities. The lessons are marvellous for building confidence as well. |
| 12 | Anonymous | there should be more of these tipe of studios around for what ever your insrument eg. drumming, keyboard.voice etc. fight on the good fight |
| 13 | Colin Woolway | percussionworks rules ok! |

| 15 | Pat Petrillo | Simon Mellish is a wonderful person, who is also a fine businessman. He wants to help the community, and develop young peoples talents and foster their creativity.
Please allow him the opportunity to do his work for the students, and to make a living and support his family. These "noise" details can be addressed, and reasonable people should be able to negotiate an agreement.
Sincerely
Pat Petrillo |
| 16 | Rob Booth | There is precious little music taught in our schools so it is imperative that independent providers be given the opportunity to impart music skills and knowledge on to students who show interest in it. If this does not happen then participation in music will die. Please consider the proposal again very carefully considering the place that music should have in our society especially with the young. |
| 17 | Louis Davies | Save the Studio! |
| 18 | William Griffiths | We need this to keep the young people occupied and off the street |
| 19 | Gloria Griffiths | It's important that young people have this facility, we are also lucky to have 2 world class drummers in our local community that can offer an interesting future for the kids |
| 20 | Jane Dluzewska | Many people including the elderly object to young peoples behaviour on the streets, so Percussion Works provides and opportunity for young people to channel their artistic energies and yet the elderly still object |
| 21 | Micha Dluzewska | Will effect the young drummers' futures.....also christchurch council are contradicting themselves as they fund percussion works activities for other things...so why rufuse planning? |
| 22 | Andre Dluzewski | Christchurch Council fund various activivities which Percussion Works run, so surely by rufusing planning for change of use at the studio, are they not contradicting all the positive input that they have previously approved. |

| 25 | david cox | It is ridiculous that when you are lucky enough have one of thecountries leading educators on your doorstep you put these sort of obsticals in the way.
The local kids are the ones who suffer. |

| 27 | steve glover | this is a ridiculous refusal and i object to the council's decision as ill-thought out and reactionary |
| 28 | Richard Brooks | |
| 29 | Matthew Hains | Officially signing as Matthew Ian Hains in support of studio becoming a legal training facility for drummers and percussionists. |

| 31 | Tim Gerber-Mellish | There are not enough youth facilities in Bournemouth and what Simon and his team have put together is outstanding. There is NO PROOF whatsoever of excessive noise and the Council need to get their act together. This is a youth work that is benefiicial to all people. |
| 32 | Darren Close | You hear less noise outside from the drum studio than you do from the adjoining business |
| 33 | cox | There is no way that the studio causes any nuisance. Other businesses on the estate are making more noise. Local musiains are lucky to have tution of this standard which is not normally found outside of London |
| 34 | mike pincombe | |
| 35 | angela collins | I think the planning permission for the Percussion Drum Studios into a training facility. This can only be a good thing for young musicians in the area and providing the studio abide by the council's ruleswith regards soundproofing etc there should be no extra nuisance for local residents. |

| 37 | Mark Adkins | Percussionworks is one of the only places in the South West (to my knowledge) where aspiring drummers can go and receive high quality tuition in an enviroment that not only fully supports the learning process but also seeks to consider the needs of local residents.
If the council has an issue with the facilities, then I am certain Percussionworks will respond and meet the requirements. If the council is listening to alleged complaints from local residents, then I suggest these are investigated thoroughly, including taking decibel readings. If this supports the complaints then I have no doubt that Percussionworks will act to resolve this. |
