Name: Ian Baxter on Jan 18, 2013Comments: Dear Pentax Please read the requests for firmware improvements. I have been a Pentaxian since 1966 and have never owned another brand. This year I am tempted to jump ship to one of the big 2 because no one at Pentax seems to have listened to the requests of the past eighteen months. It is all very well producing "new" variations of a camera model, but those of us who have owned the K-5 for a year are locked in to either making do or buying new - a cynic would say that this is just a ploy on your part to force need to purchase a new unit. This is just not the case with the big 2. Please restore my faith in the brand by dusting off the "old" firmware to incorporate as many of the requests as are possible.Flag

Name: Danas on Jan 18, 2013Comments: I would like to see Pentax DSLRs video mode be refined with some improvements starting with updating currently available DSLRs to have higher bit rates, Pixel Binning to improve video quality mode, adjustments during video recording and focus peaking during video recording would be nice. Shake reduction by sensor shift as in Pentax k-5 would be more than welcome. Practice shows that digital shake reduction is completely not practical due to extreme "Jello effect" Whereas sensor shift shake reduction is proved to be advantageous.Flag

Name: Richard Jackson on Feb 22, 2013Comments: Please improve the video quality of the K-30 product. It is significantly lacking behind the competition. For example please take a look at this short video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpthUt9kQVc The K-30 requires higher bit rate options to match that of Canon or Panasonic. The camera is so good, it just needs some improvement (only firmware in most cases) to really compete. Things like provide focus peaking in video mode. Improve the image stabilisation in video mode etc. Thank you, Regards, Richard Jackson.Flag
