We the undersigned feel strongly that the project known as Pennhurst Asylum in Montgomery County, PA is ill-conceived and inappropriate for these reasons:
1) it unecessarily exploits those who are developmentally disabled
2) it is offensive to their families and friends
3) it sets a poor example for the youth of our community
Now, therefore we pledge the following:
1) we will not seek employment at this project
2) we will not patronize the project
3) we will encourage our family, friends and acquaintances do likewise
