Name: Anonymous on Jul 30, 2008Comments: Speaker Pelosi, Not only is it essential that a vote be scheduled on the question of holding Karl Rove in contempt, it is essential -- if Congressional oversight as laid out in the Constitution have any meaning whatsoever -- that the vote be scheduled on the question of INHERENT CONTEMPT. It is clear that the other path, which your body has taken with regard to Bolten & Miers is about as effectual as the "sternly worded letters" that have become so common this past eighteen months -- which is to say, utterly ineffectual. The only question outstanding is whether you have chosen to be ineffectual out of a lack of courage, or out of a deeper and more fundamental complicity. Right now, the smart money is on complicity. You can change the calculus with one vote on Inherent Contempt. Please do so.Flag

Initiate these proceedings without delay!Flag

Name: Susan Kopicki on Jul 30, 2008Comments: It's past time to stand up to this administration's blatant contempt for the law. I urge the House to vote inherent contempt and arrest Rove. Anything less is a capitulation, because we know the administration will block any investigation or prosecution of Rove's offenses. The Constitution is at stake here!Flag
