Name: Patty Villanova on Jul 21, 2012Comments: I am a long time resident of the Peekskill area and have many family members here. Under no circumstances do I want this type of facility anywhere near where we live. This is a disgusting piece of business being done to profit certain politicians and their cronies who will undoubtedly make a lot of money from this.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jul 21, 2012Comments: Don't let Peekskill continu to be the place where Westchester sends all it's social programs. There easily could be a balance of how these prgrams could be distributed in the county... how about doing this in Scarsdale, Chappaqua, Irvington, Sleepy Hollow,,,, you get the picture. We in Peekskill have born the brunt of living with the fallout and stigma of the presence of this type of program. Let there be a balance and let Peekskill take a break from this kind of "revenue". There are so many people who's moved here to have a better life and improve the quality of life here. Let the positive influences happen and let another town make this choice for a change.Flag

Name: Beth DeWit on Jul 23, 2012Comments: Westchester County needs to spread out these services among other cities. Peekskill has too long been identified with being a place that is perceived as being unsafe/unsavory/not worth the danger of parking and walking to retail spaced. Just one week ago I encountered this trepidation from someone who "wants" to come and spend time and money in Peekskill- but "fears" Peekskill. Enough already.Flag

Maybe they should use the Clinic money and put more focus on the Police Department making a difference in the community if they actually did sweeps on South Street & Grove to catch the little drug dealers that live there.Flag
