| 1303 | Norman Abramovitz | When will the Stanford leaders learn to look at the real facts verses propaganda!? It just lowers public opinion about Stanford University. |

| 1309 | J.J. Surbeck | How about divesting from Sudan instead of Israel? Very few people die in Israel while more than 200,000 have already died in Darfur! This is another blatant example of Arab double standard. |

| 1334 | Dr. Jack Acheatel | I strongly believe that such a prestigeous university as Stanford would never support such a one-sided approach as divestment. Hopefully, I am not wrong ! It is ludicrous to suggest that Israel be compared to South Africa's apartheid past. I do not recall suicide bombers attacking the civilian population causing untold deaths and maimings as we see constantly in the Middle East. The wall that the Palestinians complain so much about, was built entirely to try to prevent such abhorent uncivilized behavior. Fortunately it has greatly reduced untold bloodshed. If the Palestinians are truly interested in creating a state, it is only reasonable that they recognize their immediate neighbor, Israel, and proclaim that they renounce armed conflict with her. Unfortunately, the Hamas postition is exactly the opposite, and thereby Israel is left with no other option but to defend her integrity and populace. In light of this, divesture only attempts to pressurize Israel to accept a position that would jeopardize her very existance. |

| 1344 | Stanley Greenberg | It is incredible that there can be supposedly educated people who can take a position against Israel, based on such specious information. Israel's population is 15% Muslem, which are represented in the Kinnesset (parliment). They seem to be quite satisfied to live in Israel as citizens with all the protections under law that other citizes have. There are no Jews living in Arab countries as citizens with equal, or any rights. Israel has been attacked multiple times by Arab countries with the intent to drive all the Jews into the sea. If they succeded in concquering Israel, I believe they would have had no compunction in killing the total population - in the most barbaric way. To elaborate further would be futile. Those who do not know the facts and do not want to read with an open mind are probably the ones who would have followed Hitler blindly with the zeal of a true believer. |
| 1345 | Herzl Melmed MD | If we seek peace we need to let those wishing to destroy Israel know they have no support & that good people every where reject their hateful ideology. |
| 1346 | Harris Chaiklin | Brother graduated there.
Such moves are always one-sided. So to consider this puts you in the camp who do not understand the world wide struggle the US is engaged in. (That is the best face I can put on this proposition.) |
| 1347 | Fred Hayward | No other country has been as careful as Israel to safeguard the rights of a people who have sworn to destroy it. Israel is a beacon of democracy and responsibility, not an apartheid state.
There are so many other countries with absolutely horrible and inexcusable records of human rights abuses, yet those countries are not criticized. Stanford is looking more anti-semitic than anti-evil. |
