Comments: I am a Returned PCV from Micronesia, as a Volunteer & a staff member. I now actively recruit for Peace Corps & am aware of the increasing desire to serve our country overseas by Americans of ALL ages. This service continues throughout a lifetime, benefiting our country from both outside & inside. Please support the budget request increase.

Comments: Speaking as a retired U.S. Diplomat and an RPCV, I am convinced that the Peace Corps program overall is one of our most effective means to create positive, durable relationships with other countries at a time when we desperately need to recover the respect and amity we have lost over the past 8 years. Aloha, Marty Adler Pukalani, HI

Comments: Senator, thank you for your heroic and inspiring service during World War II. President Obama recently stated "I believe with every fiber of my being that in the long run we also cannot keep this country safe unless we enlist the power of our most fundamental values." I believe these values are exemplified by Peace Corps service. Please lead the Senate in supporting $450 Million in Fiscal Year 2010.

Comments: The more peaceful international outreach, the better. Peace Corps Volunteers bring back a much larger, richer experience than they take with them, creating a more global understanding both worldwide and within their own communities.

In todays world, Peace Corps is desperately needed around the world, not just for assistance, but to give America a "face" for the rest of the world to see.
