Name: Jacqueline M. Ragland on May 8, 2007Comments: My signature on this petition is not to be construed as "taking sides" on the issues confronting PCA. My concern is that peace come to our parent club and that we all work together to promote the best interests of the Pekingese.Flag

Name: Connie Duer on May 8, 2007Comments: It is time for the broard to put the best interest of the Pekingese Breed over their agenda. Our club is is one of the oldest in the AKC and it is hard to believe that a few members can challenge the AKC and disregard their instruction. This act is a disgrace to the PCA. We opperate under AKC authority. I don't care about "SIDES" it has gone way beyond who is right or wrong. Our club is going to be discredited and all of us will be deminished. Petty fights do not belong in the opperation of a Breed Club. Please take your fighting somewhere else. Step up and do the right thing and comply. You all are supose to be acting in the best interest of the MEMBERS & THEIR PEKES not using the PCA to carry out private vendetas.Flag

Name: Audrey Drake, Toimanor Pekingese ROM on May 8, 2007Comments: I have received this petition and have given it a great deal of thought. The conclusion I have come to is that the PCA must be preserved at all costs and if that means the PCA backing down, and maybe even having to eat crow, then that might just have to be the way it will have to be. . I have heard two sides to this story and think that both might have merit, however, the real bottom line is that if the PCA does not comply with AKC then AKC has the power to expell this club,. The solution is in the hands of this board but they must bear in mind that what they do will have consequences and will affect each and every member and the membership will not forget who and what caused the demise of this wonderful club. .The internal wrangling must stop. Individual desires must be put aside and the good of the entire club and membership upheld. In two years we would celebrate the Centenial of PCA and this once powerful and prestigious club cannot just be thrown away. So, while I might understand the reasons PCA wants to fight them on this issue I think it would be very wrong. The AKC has the power and if the PCA wants to survive it must step back, and comply with the AKC, otherwise we will not have a parent club,. That to me is a reason to sign this petition.
