Stop the rise of prescription drug prices

We, the undersigned, are concerned about the rising prices of prescription drugs. We believe the patent laws currently established in the United States influence the prices of drugs and therefore drive consumers to illegally purchase drugs from Canada and do not allow for the sick to afford medication. This is a plea to our leaders to support serious reform in the current patents laws for prescription drugs. It is unnecessary for drugs to be patented on the market for 20 years and we are seeking change in these laws which do not allow for cheaper generic drugs to become available when people need the medicine the most.
