Name: Gwendolyn Spencer on Jul 22, 2009Comments: As a retired military person, I spent a good part of my life defending the Constitution of the U.S. even though constitutional rights covering all citizens did not guarantee me those same equal rights in society. Now is time for Congress to recognize the rights of all citizens and to live up to the last six words in the Pledge of Allegiance "with liberty and justice for all". Now is the time to vote for a fully inclusive Employment Non-Discrimination Amendment anything less would be a disservice to the country and our ideals of freedom, liberty, equality and justice for all our citizens.Flag

I cannot imagine working in the terrible and even openly hostile conditions I know several of my friends in other states must endure. We are human and we are no less capable or talented than anyone else. Please see past all of what you think you know about who we are and see us for who we really are. People that want to live, work and be happy like everyone else.Flag
