The on street parking is necessary for business and people who live along Parsons. I've never seen that as an issue.Flag

Hal and Al's has brought together local businesses in coalition for a variety of events that could potentially grown into more brick and mortar businesses for the area, but only without having to face barriers such as this proposal.Flag

Name: Sherry Maynard And Richard Leslie on Nov 30, 2012Comments: My husband have been very active in our community and have attended various community meetings and have never heard of the plans for the Parsons Ave. revamping. We live in the area, own rental property and a small business in this area. We travel Parsons many times every day. We are excited the area is finally getting attention, however disagree with proposed " diet" plan for Parsons Ave. We question the accident statistics quoted. We have driven the avenue for over 25 years and rarely seem a rear end collision.. Th eliminate 40 percent of parking is very anti business and really anti resident, for those living in the area. I did not express my thinking at the meeting the other evening, as we were asked not to; there was going to be a meeting where it would be more appropriate. I later was told our being quiet was interpreted as being in agreement with the proposed plan. I was not pleased with that interpretation of my silence. I wa trying to be respectful and comply with what as asked of me. I am very interested of any meeting to discuss this matter and a forum to express my thoughts and ideas. Name: Brian Wigton on Dec 1, 2012Comments: Figure something positive out. Parsons Ave has had the "ewww factor" for as long as I can remember. The improvements to Children's Hospital as well as some pretty nice/decent businesses, has the area with hope for the first time in a long time. The street and the neighborhood(s) that it runs through, are part of the city of Columbus. Polaris, Easton, Short North, as well as some of the suburbs have all had their share of the spotlight as well as funds thrown their way. Time to start spreadin' the love.....do NOT drop the ball on Parsons Ave.Flag
