Wagga Wagga City Council has changed main street and nearby streets to one-hour parking. This has been a major inconvenience to locals and business owners who need more than one hour to complete their shopping, lunch, haircuts or general business down the street. Combined with the fact that we now have a car with a camera on it booking over limit parked cars, that more and more customers and employees are getting stung. Not only does this impact people who are trying to support local businesses it also makes it much harder for workers to find all-day parking when they need it, as people are now not willing to take the chance of not getting fined. There is already a shortage of all-day parking available in the CBD and the council is making it harder for everyone. We think that the parking should time should be at least two hours. If you agree sign this petition, so we can take it to council and hopefully get it changed.
